On 18 November 2010, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, took part in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of “Protek” pharmaceutical company.

Metropolitan Hilarion greeted Vadim Yakunin, head of the company and co-founder of the St. Gregory the Theologian Charity Foundation, and acknowledged his particular zeal in good deed for the good of the Church and people.

Metropolitan Hilarion underscored that the St. Gregory Foundation founded on the initiative of Vadim Yakunin renders considerable support to the Russian Orthodox Church in its external relations, the development of theological education, and social ministry. The DECR chairman highly appreciated the “Protek” head’s work in upholding spiritual and cultural heritage of the Yaroslavl and Rostov land where Yakunin was born.
