Fund for Assistance to Russian Church Abroad collects funds in aid to victims of wildfires in Russia
On August 9, 2010, the Fund for Assistance to the Russian Church Outside Russia allocated 5000 dollars from its general funds for aid to the victims of wildfires in Russia, the official website of the Church Abroad has reported.
The treasurer of the Fund, Alexander Kulesha, has reported that the funds will be transferred to the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service next Tuesday.
The Fund for Assistance to the ROCOR began collecting funds on August 3 in response to an appeal by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for aid to the victims of fires in Russia.
