Russian pavilion at Shanghai EKSPO-2010 is blessed
Archpriest Alexey Kiselevich, a cleric of the Russian Orthodox Church, who has taken pastoral care for an Orthodox community in Shanghai, China, since 2005, conducted an office of blessing of the Russian pavilion at Shanghai EKSPO-2010 on 14 June 2010.
During the exhibition, services are celebrated at St. Nicholas’ memorial church built by Russian emigrants by archpriest Kiselevich for the Orthodox guests of the exhibition by arrangement with the Shanghai Administration for religious affairs.
The church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia and Wonderworker, is an object of note in Shanghai. The services will be celebrated on Sundays and feast days from May to November 2010.
