A hierarch of the Georgian Church visits DECR MP

Metropolitan Nicholas of Ahalkalaki and Kumurdo, deputy head of the Georgian Orthodox Church’s department for mission and evangelism, who is on a visit to Moscow for academic studies, visited the Moscow Patriarchate’s department for external church relations on 16 April 2010. He met with Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR vice-chairman.

In a friendly talk they discussed further development of relations between the Russian and Georgian Churches and had a useful exchange of opinions on issues of common Orthodox concern.
