In the evening of March 29, 2010, the day when terrorist actions were carried out in the Moscow subway, a solidarity action ‘Grief’ took place at the entrance to the Russian embassy in Lisbon. It was initiated by the coordinating committee of Russian compatriots. Among people who came to pay tribute to those who were killed by terrorists were not only Russians living in capital but also Portuguese, Byelorussian, Moldovan, Uzbek, Ukrainian townpeople who proved to be not indifferent to the tragedy and who wished to express solidarity with its victims.

Candles were lighted at the stands with lists of deaths and flowers were laid at the photographs showing the place of the tragedy. Father Arseny Sokolov, rector of the Moscow Patriarchate parish in Lisbon said a lity for the innocent victims. The solidarity action in Lisbon will last for two more days, March 30 and 31.
