DECR Chairman congratulates His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania on the 20th anniversary of his episcopal ministry
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for external church relations, greeted the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church with the 20th anniversary of his episcopal consecration. The text of congratulatory message is given below.
Your Beatitude:
Please accept my sincere congratulations on the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Your episcopal consecration.
The Lord granted You many talents that You have multiplied and crowned them with the God-pleasing fruits. Being “a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15), You have gained sincere love of Your flock of many millions who have found in You a caring father leading them to Christ.
On this memorable day may I wish You, Your Beatitude, many years of fruitful ministry to the good of the Holy Church of Romania. May the Lord grant You His abundant bounties, strengthen You in carrying Your primatial cross, and keep You in good health for many and good years.
