Archbishop Hilarion leads the 1st Orthodox Youth Forum in Penza Diocese
On 16 January 2010, Archbishop Hilarion led the 1st Orthodox Youth Forum in the Penza Diocese with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and at the invitation of Bishop Veniamin of Lubertsy, administrator ad interim of the Penza diocese.
Taking part in the forum were Bishop Longin of Saratov and Volsk, Bishop Kliment of Ruzaevka, hegumen Seraphim (Domnin), rector of the Penza Orthodox Theological college and its students, as well as students of the higher educational institutions, gymnasia, and schools of the Penza region.
Bishop Veniamin greeted those gathered, and deputy chairman of the government of the Penza region V. Savin read out greetings from the governor V. Bochkarev.
Archbishop Hilarion delivered a key lecture on “To Be a Christian in the Contemporary World.”
