Patriarch Kirill sends a letter to Italian Prime Minister Sylvio Berlusconi wishing him speedy recovery

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent the following letter to Italian Prime Minister Sylvio Berlusconi wishing him a speedy recovery:

Dear Mr. Berlusconi,

Please accept my sincere compassion over the incident in Milan. The service of a state leader always involves risk and danger. When a person is on the razor edge of political process he often comes to face madness and evil will. What has happened to you is painful to many people throughout the world including believers of our Church. I wish you a speedy recovery. May the Lord and His All Holy Mother give you spiritual and physical strength.
