The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church sent greetings to the representative of the Patriarch of the Great Antioch and All the East at the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, rector of the Antiochian metochion in Moscow Archbishop Nifon of Philippopolis with his elevation to the rank of archbishop. Your Eminence, dear Vladyka:

I wholeheartedly greet you with your elevation to the rank of archbishop.

By this decision the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Antioch did you justice and recognized your merits in the strengthening of the traditionally brotherly relations between the Orthodox Churches of Antioch and Russia and duly appreciated your fruitful episcopal work you are doing in the saved-by-God city of Moscow.

You are well aware of the Moscow Patriarchate’s high appreciation of your efforts undertaken during many years.

I wish you further success in your blessed ministry.
