Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations, congratulated heads of non-Orthodox Churches on Easter.
Among those to whom he sent Easter messages were Pope Benedict XVI, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, and leaders of other Churches and Christian communities.
Below is the text of the message.
In the days of the radiant and joyful feast, allow me to address you with words of Easter greetings, which invariably fill the heart of every Christians with spiritual joy and reverence:
Christ Is Risen!
From my heart, I congratulate you on the great feast of the Holy Pascha and wish you God’s help in your lofty ministry, many years of life and sound health.
