Before the Bishops’ Council its participants assembled for Divine Liturgy at the Church of Christ the Savior

The opening of the Council was preceded by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Christ the Saviour. It was led by the Patriarchal Locum Tenens, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad. The congregation included the Holy Synod members, other archpastors who came for the Council and Moscow clergy.
