The programme included music by the present-day composers, such as Alfred Shnitke, Rodion Schedrin, Vissarion Shebalin, Astor Piazzola, and Andrew Lloyd Weber.<\/p>\n<p>The Sveshnikov State Academic Russian Choir and the Chamber Choir of the Moscow Conservatoire sang in the first and second parts of the concert respectively.\u00a0 Boris Tevlin leads both choirs.<\/p>\n<p>Among the pieces performed by the Sveshnikov Choir were compositions &#8220;We Hymn Thee&#8221; and &#8220;It is Truly Meet&#8221; composed by Archbishop Hilarion (Alfeyev).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The concert was timed to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the People&#8217;s Artist of Russia Boris Tevlin&#8217;s teaching career.
