The conference, organized by St. Tikhon\u2019s University together with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, has gathered Russian, Spanish, Italian and Swiss art critic, culturologists, theologians, philosophers, and philologists.<\/p>\n
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate\u2019s Department for External Church Relations and Rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Church Postgraduate and Doctoral Scholl, head the Organizing Committee.<\/p>\n
Archpriest Vladimir Vorobyev, rector of St., Tikhon\u2019s University, welcomed the participants and reminded them of Dostoyevsky\u2019s words \u201cthe beauty will save the world\u201d and expressed his hope for the development of cooperation with the University of the Sacred Heart in future.<\/p>\n
Metropolitan Hilarion presented a report on \u201cTheology of the Beauty.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the first day of the conference, taking place were a plenary session and sections on \u201cArt and Music\u201d and \u201cCreative Work and Philosophy.\u201d<\/p>\n
The conference will continue its work till April 19.<\/p>\n
