{"id":44084,"date":"2011-07-01T16:18:05","date_gmt":"2011-07-01T12:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mospat.ru\/?p=44084"},"modified":"2011-07-05T11:39:55","modified_gmt":"2011-07-05T07:39:55","slug":"predsedatel-ovcs-napravil-privetstvie-uchastnikam-prokhodyashhego-v-serbii-iv-kadetskogo-sbora","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/old.mospat.ru\/en\/2011\/07\/01\/news44084\/","title":{"rendered":"DECR chairman\u2019s message to the 4th Cadet Congress in Serbia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Moscow Patriarchate\u2019s department for external church relations, sent the following message of greetings to the cadet congress held from June 28 to July 6, 2011, in Serbia. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dear Cadet Friends,<\/p>\n<p>I wholeheartedly greet you as you have assembled for the 4<sup>th<\/sup> Cadets Congress organized by the Aleksej Jordan Cadet Corps Support Fund. \u00a0\u00a0It is already for the fourth time that a congress of cadets from Russia is held in Serbia to become a good tradition contributing to the consolidation of bonds between our fraternal nations.<\/p>\n<p>This year, your congress is timed to coincide with the 90<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Russian cadet corps\u2019 arrival to the lands of Southern Slavs. It is my conviction the memory of those remote times will become an invisible thread linking today\u2019s cadets with the cadets of the 1920<sup>th<\/sup> who were forced to flee their homeland after the tragic events of the Civil War.<\/p>\n<p>It is gratifying to see your diligence in learning military sciences, to become educated and highly moral people committed to your Motherland. I hope that you will become worthy successors to the glorious traditions of those who had glorified their nation. The Russian Orthodox Church wishes that all the teachers and students of military schools may zealously aspire to the lofty ideals of the service of their homeland.
