Participating in the meeting was also Syrian Charge d\u2019Affaires Suleiman Abudiab.<\/p>\n<p>In a friendly talk, they discussed the present situation in the Middle East and relations between the peoples of Syria and peoples in pastoral care of the Russian Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n<p>Metropolitan Hilarion was accompanied by Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR vice-chairman, and Rev.
