currently on a visit to the Russian Orthodox Church, visited the Moscow Patriarchate&#8217;s Department for External Church Relations (DECR).<\/p>\n<p>The DECR chairman, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, told him about the work of the oldest Synodal institution of the Russian Orthodox Church and of his predecessors.<\/p>\n<p>Discussed were Interconfessional dialogue and common Orthodox problems.<\/p>\n<p>Attending the meeting were Bishop Melchizedek of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania (Orthodox Church in America); Bishop Aleksandr of Dmitrov; archimandrite Zaccaeus (Wood), representative of the OCA to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; and Rev.
