His Eminence told the minister about the historical presence of the Russian Orthodox Church in Indonesia since the early 20<sup>th<\/sup> century and about the present state of Orthodoxy in the country.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the sides exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues concerning the development of Russian-Indonesian cooperation in humanitarian and religious spheres and the organization of pastoral care for the Orthodox faithful in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Participating in the talk from the Russian side were also Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Ms. L. Vorobyeva, Counsellor O. Kopylov, the Exarchate secretary Hieromonk Pitirim (Dondenko), and Russian attach\u00e9 D.
