The service was presided over by Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Bulgaria.<\/p>\n<p>Before the requiem, Father Philipp read out the message of condolence issued by the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n<p>The service was attended by Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria A. Makarov, Mr. A. Kristov, chairman of the Athos Balkan Society, Ms. S. Sharenkova, chair of the Bulgaria-Russia Public Forum, Mr. B.
