June 26-29, 2015 – the Greek Orthodox Church Metropolia of Veria held its annual events devoted to St. Paul.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the St Paul Days in Veria were attended by Bishop Savva of Voskresensk, first deputy chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Taking part in the event were representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches of Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch, Jerusalem, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, and Poland.

From June 26 to 28, the 21st international academic conference was held on the theme ‘Patience and Endurance Today according to St Paul’. At the opening session, Metropolitan Savva brought a message of greetings addressed to the organizers and participants by Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relation, on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.

On June 28, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the church of St Anthony of Veria.

The representatives of Local Orthodox Churches concelebrated. After the service, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veria, Naoussa and Campania presented participants in the event with awards of the Metropolia of Veria.

In the evening of June 29, a solemn procession took place to the place of St Paul’s preaching in Veria and vespers was celebrated.
