For the second time in a row, participants in the traditional poll held by the Rambler Internet portal have called Metropolitan Kirill “Man of the Year” in the Religion nomination.

Metropolitan Kirill’s curriculum vitae placed on Rambler stresses that “along with his church work, he is a well-known public figure. He is Vice-President of the World Russian People’s Council and the Provincial Movement; member of the commission on state awards in literature and art; honorary and full member of many academies, and author and host of the weekly “Word of the Pastor” program on the First Channel.

The Rambler poll includes 57 categories in all spheres of state, public, cultural, scientific, educational and business activity in today’s Russia. In particular, this free polling gives an objective insight into what the Russian Internet community thinks about the role that Russian Orthodoxy plays in life of the nation and the meaning that the Church has for it.
