METROPOLITAN KIRILL RECEIVES THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR
On March 6, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, received the Italian Ambassador in Moscow, Mr. Jancarlo Aragonu. They talked about the role of Christian Churches in the two countries, the development of Italian-Russian relations and the condition of Orthodox parishes in Italy.
They were joined in their talk by Archimandrite Mark, DECR vice-chairman, and Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR acting secretary for inter-Orthodox relations and institutions abroad.
