Pan-orthodox meeting in Sofia

PAN-ORTHODOX MEETING IN SOFIA

Meeting of the Primates of the Local Orthodox Churches will be held in Sofia on September 29-30, 1998, to discuss problems of the schism in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and activities of the schismatic groups and associations in other Orthodox Churches.

Primates of all Orthodox Churches are expected to take part in the meeting.

The Russian Orthodox Church will be represented by Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and all Russia, Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad and Archbishop Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk, respectively Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
