On 20 February 2006, His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia received Cardinal Roger Etchegaray, former President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, in patriarchal residence in Peredelkino.
Participating in the meeting also were Archbishop Antonio Mennini, representative of the Holy See in the Russian Federation, and Rev. Georgy Riabykh, DECR Chairman’s Assistant.
