The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church would like to express to you heartfelt gratitude for your condolences over the demise of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy of Moscow and All Russia, which you voiced in your message to our people, and to notify you that the funeral service for His Holiness the Patriarch will take place on December 9, at the Church of Christ the Saviour. The Divine Liturgy will begin at 8.00 a.m.

His Holiness Patriarch Alexy will be buried according to his will at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Moscow.
