Russian President presented an Icon of the Mother of God to the Russian church in Havana

On 27 November 2008, Russian President D. Medvedev, accompanied by the head of the Republic of Cuba R. Castro visited the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, ITAR-TASS reports.

Rector of the church, archpriest Vladimir Klyuev met the leaders of the two states at the entrance to the church and gave a short tour for the guests of honour. He told them of the construction of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the capital of Cuba and about the office of the blessing on 19 October 2006.
