A prayer room to be opened in every higher education institution in Kemerovo by the Day of Slavonic Literature and Culture

According to the Kemerovo diocesan press service, this decision has been made by Kemerovo Governor Aman Tuleyev and Bishop Aristarkh of Kemerovo and Novokuznetsk at numerous requests from students for them to pray for their families and progress in studies and to talk with a priest.

It is not for the first time that the Kemerovo diocese has entered into cooperation with higher education institutions in Kuzbass. In some of them, pastoral talks with students have been held for a few years now. The Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts offers lectures on the Bible as a Historical Cultural Monument and has begun teaching Orthodox Festive Tradition since this academic year.
