Teenagers from the ‘Reefers, Go!’ club at St. Andrew’s Church in Kaliningrad and its Sunday school pupils were taken on January 22 on an excursion to the world-famous barque Kruzenstern. The children and teenagers were shown all the facilities and components of the ship, while members of the club were introduced to the basics of steering, navigation and rigging.
According to the press service of the Church of Christ the Saviour in Kaliningrad, an agreement has been reached with the ship commanders and the Baltic State Academy leaders to set up a ship chapel dedicated to St. Nicholas on the ship. The chapel will have been arranged in one of the ship’s facilities by the first sea cruise to be started by the ship on March 15.
