An Orthodox Youth Centre to replace a night disco club in the village of Svobodny Sokol

A building of the former night disco club ‘Formula-1’ in the village of Svobodny Sokol, Lipetsk region, is rented to the Lipetsk diocese.

The club in the village of the metalworkers was a bad place where drunkards and drug addicts often fought each other. The building that needs much repairing was closed down several years ago.

According to the Gorod48.ru, the city administration has recently agreed to rent the building to the Lipetsk diocese. It is planned to arrange a centre for the drug addicts here in the future. Meanwhile, it will house the ‘Ecclesiast’ youth club set up in the diocese in 2005. The youth club will be turned into a spiritual centre. Besides, the building will house the Church dedicated to the ‘Seeking of the Lost’ icon of the Mother of God.
