Sisters of mercy feeding homeless in Vladivostok

It is for four years now that a sisterhood has been working at the Parish of the Dormition in Vladivostok. The sisters feed the homeless three times a week. The sisterhood’s car comes to two squares in the city, to which neglected, homeless and simply poor people, who have long forgotten the taste of a homemade soup, come long before the appointed hour.

According to Vladivostok Daily News, the sisters of mercy from the Church of the Dormition also nurse patients at the First City Clinic and visit patients abandoned by their relatives at the city psycho-neurological center.

The parishioners also buy medicines and foodstuffs for the needy and give aid to large families.
