Moscow Patriarchate representative in Helsinki congratulates the head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland on his 65th birthday

Archbishop Jukka Paarma, head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland, was congratulated on his 65^th birthday in a ceremony that took place on December 10, 2007, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church Center in Helsinki. Congratulatory messages had been sent him earlier by His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia and Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, head of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations.

During the ceremony, Archpriest Victor Lyutik, rector of the Moscow Patriarchate Parish of the Protecting Veil in Helsinki, read out the message from Metropolitan Kirill and presented Archbishop Paarma with a decorated cross, the site of the Moscow Patriarchate in Northern countries has reported.
