Meeting of Trilateral Forum on Interreligious Consent for Peace held in UN Headquarters in New York

A meeting of a Trilateral Forum on Interreligious Consent for Peace was held in UN Headquarters in New York on 11 April. The forum unites representatives of UN member states, UN departments and offices and religious non-governmental organizations.

The topic of the meeting was preparation of the high-level Conference on interreligious consent expected to take place at the end of September – right after the 62^nd session of the General Assembly begins its work – the press service of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA reports. The participants of the meeting agreed that the high-level Conference will be preceded by open hearings with religious non-governmental organizations and heads of some confessions taking part.

The representative of World Russian People’s Council archpriest Alexander Abramov took part in the event.
