Representative of Serbian Patriarch to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia visits Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem

On 17 January the Representative of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Moscow bishop Antony of Moravich arrived at the Holy Land – the site of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission reports.

The Head of the Mission Archimandrite Tikhon (Zaitsev) met bishop Antony in the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Welcoming the Serbian archpastor father Tikhon noted particular closeness of the two Slavonic nations which are united by the Orthodox faith. It is faith which calls a Christian to make pilgrimages to the Holy Places. He wished bishop Antony help from God in his ministry and the forthcoming pilgrimage.

In response His Grace bishop Antony thanked Archimandrite Tikhon for the warm words, for the opportunity to feel care as early as the beginning of the pilgrimage and to fell like home.

On 19 January on Epiphany Day bishop Antony, concelebrated by Bishop Yustinian of Tiraspol and Dubossary, celebrated a Divine Liturgy in the Mission Cathedral and the Great Blessing of Waters.
