His Holiness Patriarch Alexy sends his condolences with regard to the terrorist act in India

His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia sent a cable to the Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh expressing his condolences with regard to the terrorist act in Mumbai with dozens of victims. The text is given below:

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

Please accept my condolences with regard to the atrocious crime committed in Mumbai – the act of terror that took dozens of human lives and wounded hundreds of people.

On these mournful days I wish peaceful rest to the souls of the killed and strength and courage to their relatives and the near ones.

I pray the Lord to heal the wounded. May the Most High grant his help to the Indian law enforcement, medical doctors, and all who try to alleviate the consequences of this evil deed.

Let us help each other in overcoming the evil of terrorism together. Let peace and prosperity be with the people of great India.
