Metropolitan Kirill meets with representatives of the Russian Church Outside Russia and the Movement for Local Orthodoxy of the Russian Tradition

Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, head of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations, and Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany, Russian Church Outside Russia, met with representatives of the Movement for Local Orthodoxy of the Russian Tradition, on June 16, 2006, at the Three Saints Church Representation in Paris.

In a lively discussion they talked about the future of Orthodoxy in Western Europe and problems involved in pastoral care of the Russian church diaspora and its canonical order.

Present at the meeting were Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, DECR secretary for inter-Orthodox relations, Archpriest Nikolay Artemov, secretary of the Diocese of Berlin and Germany, Russian Church Outside Russia, and Hierodeacon Savva Tutunov of the DECR.
