Archbishop Innokenty Meets the Archbishop of Canterbury

The archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams met temporary administrator of the Diocese of Sourozh Archbishop Innokenty of Korsun.
At their meeting held in the primate of the Church of England said he greeted Archbishop Innokenty as a new administrator of the of the Diocese of Sourozh by His Holiness the Patriarch’s appointment.
Archbishop Innokenty informed the archbishop of Canterbury about the crisis in the Diocese of Sourozh and possible ways of dealing with that.
Archbishop Williams expressed his anxiety on the events and said he hoped the crisis would end soon. He noted it was important not for the Orthodox alone but for all British Christians.
The meeting was held in a warm and brotherly atmosphere.
