The Lokomotiv Football Club to Teach Monastery’s Sunday School Children Playing Football

The Lokomotiv Football Club decided they would patron children football team. The children are students of a Sunday school attached to the Nikolo-Perervinsk Monastery, which belongs to Russia’s oldest monastic foundations.
Some time ago a football club was created in the monastery harboring local Sunday school students, difficult teenagers, orphans, homeless people and others under the patronage of the monks, the Interfax-Religion Information Agency said quoting the Gudok newspaper.
Recently, the Lokomotiv Football Club wanted to help the church football teem with money and training. The Lokomotive gave the monastery’s school a full set of sport equipment for boys, some balls and other gifts, also inviting the children to addend their games.
In return, the monks organized an excursion in the monastery for the Lokomotiv football players showing them also their Sunday school and football club.
