His Holiness Patriarch Alexy of Moscow and All Russia to Visit Latvia

The primate of the Russian Orthodox Church will be doing a pastoral visit to the Republic of Latvia with the invitation of Metropolitan Alexander of Riga and All Latvia and the Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga, the press-service of the Moscow Patriarchy says.

The visit is planned from 27 to 29 May, 2006 and includes a meeting of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy with the Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga and Prime Minister A. Kalvitis.

His Holiness Patriarch Alexy will be celebrating in Holy Trinity cathedral and in Nativity Cathedral in Riga.
