Russian-Belgian Club Discussed the Orthodox Church’s Role in Modern Russian Life

Archpriest Anthony Ilyin, the rector of St Nicolas Cathedral, gave a lecture on the Orthodox Church in Modern Russia in the Russian-Belgian Club, Brussels, on 15 May 2006. Fr Anthony told about social ministry of the Church and different forms of the Church’s interaction with the state and civil society institutions. Then the diocese representative answered many question from the listeners. Some of the questions were about the Orthodoxy in Belgium and its role in preservation of the local cultural and spiritual tradition.
