His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia meets with Morocco Ambassador Noureddine Sefiani

His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia met on April 14, 2006, with the Morocco Ambassador Mr. Noureddine Sefiani, at the patriarchal working residence in Chisty Pereulok.

Participating in the meeting was also Bishop Niphon of Phillipopolis, Representative of the Patriarch of Antioch to the Moscow Patriarchate.

His Holiness congratulated Mr. Sefiani on his appointment to the high and important post of ambassador and wished him success in his diplomatic efforts.

In his response, the Ambassador of Morocco thanked the primate for the opportunity to meet him and expressed the hope that he, just as his predecessor, would have good relations with the Russian political leaders and the supreme authorities of the Russian Orthodox Church.
