The lesser consecration of St. Catherine’s Church in Rome to take place on May 19

The construction of St. Catherine’s in Rome continues.

The lesser consecration of the Russian Church will be conducted by Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad on May 19, 2006. It is expected that the ceremony will be attended by members of the Patrons Council of the Construction Foundation including several Russian officials, as well as donators through whose efforts the church is being built.

It is also expected that the choir of the Sretensky Monastery will come for the ceremony. At 19.00 on May 18, the monastery choir will give a recital at the Auditorium hall in Conciliatione, 4, in Rome, which can accommodated 2000 people. The choir will sing church and folk music as well as love songs. The entrance is free.
