Chernobyl victims to be commemorated in Kuzbass

April 26 will mark 20 years of the Chernobyl disaster. Commemorative divine services for the victims and prayer services for the health of those who suffered as a result of the disaster will be held on April 15 in all Orthodox churches of the Kemerovo diocese, an independent news agency reports. The Muslim and Jewish communities will also pray on the eve of this mournful date.

The chief Russian sanitary inspector Gennady Onischenko said at the symposium on the 20^th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster that one million and a half people lived on the polluted territories of the Russian Federation.
