I greet the participants and guests of the 10^th World Russian People’s Council.

Your representative forum is called to discuss a wide range of topical problems in the life of Russia at present, such as social problems, consolidation of public accord and interconfessional peace, and education of the youth in civic motivation and patriotism.

Over centuries, the multinational Russia has been united by common cultural values and humanistic ideals. They have always been a strong foundation of our state. The preservation and increase of the precious traditions of mutual understanding and solidarity are a pledge of the successful future of Russia.

I am convinced that the World Russian People’s Council will serve to consolidation of all constructive public forces in their creative work for the good of our Fatherland and extension of versatile ties with our compatriots abroad.
