Prospects for church-state cooperation in overcoming drug-addiction discussed in Kostroma

Representatives of the Russian Federal Service for Control over Drugs Circulation visited Kostroma on March 28, 2006. The delegation included the Service’s first deputy chief Gen. Col. Vladimir Zubrin, the Service’s Central Russia Director Gen. Col. Vladimir Minaev and Maj. Gen. Valery Krasnoutsky.

The delegation visited the Cathedral of the Epiphany and some of its members venerated the Fyodorovsky Icon of the Mother of God.

After that the delegation of the Russian Federal Drugs Control Service were received by Archbishop Alexander of Kostroma at this residence.

They discussed problems and ways of cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Federal Drugs Control Service.
