A new frontier post was blessed in North Ossetia

On 24 March 2006, a new frontier post in the village of Fiagdon was opened within the framework of the Federal Target Border programme.

Taking part in the opening were chief of the North Caucasus department of the Federal Security Service lieutenant-general A.I.Zabrodin, chairman of the government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania A.V.Merkulov, chief of the Vladikavkaz frontier detachment colonel A.V.Prokoshin and other officials.

The rite of the blessing of the frontier post was performed by the dean of the Orthodox parishes in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania archpriest Vladimir Samoilenko who wished the border guards to be steadfast and courageous in guarding the Russian south borders.
