Authors of an Orthodox church sculpture are awarded the first prize in the snow sculptures competition among the prisoners in Marii El

The penitentiary administration of the Republic of Marii El held a snow sculptures competition. According to ‘Region 12’ news agency, sculptors’ fantasy was unlimited, but most popular sculptures were those of dogs.

The third prize was given to the prisoners from labour colony 3 for a sculpture of a wolf with a double-barreled gun and ammunition belt, the second – to the labor colony 6 for a sculpture of a rotweiller dog in a service cap. The first prize was given to the teenagers from the Novotroitsk colony who built a snow sculpture of an Orthodox church.
