His Holiness Patriarch Alexy awarded Director V.V. Cherkesov of the Federal Service for Drug Control with the Order of St. Tryphon the Martyr

On March 23 2006, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church met with the Director of the Russian Federal Service for Drug Control V.V.Cherkesov in the patriarchal working residence and awarded him with the Order of St. Tryphon the Martyr, 1^st class.

They discussed cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Service and the Federal Service for Drug Control in the struggle against drug addiction.

Bishop Alexander of Dmitrov attended the meeting.
