Governor of Nizny Novgorod Region gives money for needs of churches

Governor of Nizny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev signed several decrees on assigning funds to a number of regional towns and districts for the support of the territories, official website of the Nizny Novgorod Diocese reports with the reference to governor’s press service.

The parish of the Transfiguration in the village of Spasskoe will receive 10 thousand rubles for gasification. Some 35 thousand rubles will be given to the Vorotyn District for installation of the heating system and restoration of churches in the villages of Ognev-Maidan and Fokino.

The village of Lyskovo will get 65 thousand rubles for buying a snow-plough and laundry washer for the Cathedral of the Ascension of the Lord and electrical appliances for comprehensive school № 5.

60 thousand will be granted to the Church of the Our Lady of Vladimir in Sechenovo for changing boilers and gilding the iconostasis.
