Presidential envoy for the Far East Region visits the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

Presidential Envoy Kamil Iskhakov visited the Cathedral of the Resurrection in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk while on a mission to the Sakhalin Region.

Accompanied by Bishop Daniel of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the Kurils, the envoy made a tour of the interior of the church. Bishop Daniel drew his attention to the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan especially venerated by people in Sakhalin. In 1995, this icon was given to Sakhalin by His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia.
