Russian President V.V.Putin expresses his condolences with the demise of Archimandrite Ioann (Krestyankin)

Russian President V.V.Putin expressed his condolences with the demise of Fr.Ioann whom he knew personally. Putin visited the elder in his cell in the Pskov Monastery of the Caves in August 2000. President’s cable was read out by Archbishop Evsevy of Pskov and Velikie Luki before the burial service in the monastery on 7 February 2006.
