An Orthodox church banner handed over to the Kaliningrad Frontier Guards Institute

Bishop Seraphim of Baltiysk read out a welcoming address of Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad at the 10^th anniversary of the Kaliningrad Institute of the Russian FSB Frontier Guards.

The Institute was presented with an Orthodox church banner as a sign of faith and courage on behalf of the ruling bishop.

The Institute was set up on the basis of the Kaliningrad Engineers’ College five years ago. The lieutenants who have graduated from it during these years serve in Russia and the CIS countries. The Institute was named the best military educational institution of Russia three times.

Press service of the Kaliningrad cathedral church of Christ the Saviour reported that an Orthodox church was built on the institute’s premises. Divine liturgies are celebrated there regularly. Both military experts and Orthodox priests instruct the cadets.
